Gravity anti vibration platform is designed to work with CD players, DVD players, Blu-ray players, amplifiers (especially tube amplifiers), and turntables. When placed on the platform, these devices benefit from improved dynamics, openness, and natural sound reproduction. It also enhances bass reproduction and the localization of sound sources in space.
The function of the Gravity Platform is to serve as a buffer. It separates the device placed on it from the underlying surface. This prevents the transfer of vibrations from the surface to the device, while also accumulating and dissipating vibrations generated within the device itself. This restores and provides the proper and comfortable working conditions for the device.
CONSTRUCTION
The Gravity Platform is a complex and intricate device consisting of nearly 200 components. Over 20 materials with different densities and vibration damping coefficients were used in its construction. The system for distributing and damping resonances was developed through tests using a vibration generator with various frequencies. As a result, the Gravity platform effectively dampens vibrations in the range of 40-120Hz, which are harmful vibrations generated in device transformers and caused by the electrical network.
The platform rests on four aluminum feet equipped with adjustable chrome spikes. Each foot is independently connected to the bottom plate of the platform using rigid thick-walled steel tubes coated with black PVC. The tubes and filled with a mixture of damping substances. Each tube has a different length, thereby damping a different frequency range.
The bottom plate is dampened with a special acrylic coating with the addition of silica and cork mats. It serves as the base for three steel spikes. On top of the spikes, carefully selected gemstones are placed, which were chosen during listening sessions. Thanks to their crystalline structure, high hardness, and diamond grinding, they are excellent isolating materials for a wide range of frequencies.
The upper plate, consisting of four layers of different densities, rests on the semi-precious stones. Topmost visible layer, on which the device is placed, is a combination of epoxy resins, acrylic, and a filling of fractionated minerals with irregular shapes. The structure of the coating requires a highly complex application process. Slow drying is needed to avoid the formation of internal stress, as the material exhibits shape memory properties after drying. The irregular structure of the coating excellently dampens the resonances of the device placed on it.
